The Bookie introduces campus Apple store

From staff reports

A new school year brings in new renovations: the streets are cleaner, the shops are nicer, and the Bookie has a shiny, sleek new Apple store.

Known as ‘CORETECH,’ the bottom floor of the Bookie now features an Apple Authorized Campus Store, selling college essential technologies such as iPads, Mac desktops and laptops, iPods, and various computer accessories.

“The Student Book Corporation, also known as the Bookie, negotiated to have this program on WSU’s campus for a long time,” said Sean Greene, WSU Compton Union Building (CUB) Director. “Right now they’re laying the foundations for the Bookie to become an ‘Apple Authorized Service Provider’.”

Should the Bookie become an Authorized Service Provider, CORETECH’s technicians would be able to do warranty work on Apple brand towers and laptops, in addition to selling new ones.

CORETECH would become the first Apple Authorized Service Provider in the Pullman area.

The CORETECH store will be able to sell the Apple products with an education discount, allowing students and faculty to purchase the latest in Apple technology at a lesser price. The normal stock of computer and other technology related accessories, including printers, phone cases, and headphones, will be sold by CORETECH.

The store, however, will not be stocking any iPhones or Apple watches. While open for business, the store is still working out the finer day-to-day details.

The CORETECH store is open now, accessible from the bottom floor CUB corridor and from inside the Bookie itself. The store is located in the back part of the ground floor, near the art and class supplies shelves.
