Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for vaccine-eligible individuals, including people over 65 years of age, teachers, agricultural workers and pregnant women.
The clinic will begin 2 p.m. Monday at the SEL Event Center, located at 1825 Schweitzer Drive, and will last two hours. The clinic is by appointment only and vaccine-eligible individuals can schedule an appointment at (509) 592-4784, according to a press release issued by SEL.
Two new groups of people become eligible for vaccines on Monday. The first group includes individuals with disabilities and those who are pregnant, according to the press release. The second group includes agriculture workers, fishing vessel crews and food processing workers. It also includes people who work in grocery stores, correctional facilities and public transit.
Those who are currently eligible include people aged over 65 years and individuals aged over 50 years who live in a multigenerational household, according to the press release. Healthcare workers, first responders and workers in long-term care facilities are also still eligible. Teachers and licensed childcare workers may also receive vaccinations.

SEL is working in collaboration with the Whitman County Health Department and the Range Community Clinic to host the vaccination clinic, according to the press release.
