All Washington residents over 16 years old will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine starting April 15.
The expansion of vaccine eligibility comes after a recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the state, according to a press release issued by Gov. Jay Inslee’s office.
Inslee announced the new eligibility today during a press conference, which can be viewed on his Facebook page.
About 3.3 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered, according to the press release. More than one million Washington residents are fully vaccinated.
More information about COVID-19 vaccines and how to get one can be found on the Washington State Department of Health’s website and Whitman County Public Health’s website.
