ASWSU appoints all-campus senator

From staff reports

With two unanimous votes, the ASWSU Senate amended one of the bylaws and appointed a new All-Campus Senator at its weekly Wednesday meeting.

Bill 44-16, which amends bylaw 205, states that final copies of resolutions must be forwarded to all mentioned parties and individuals by the Senate Pro Tempore.

Each resolution ends with a list of people that will receive the resolution once it passes, which sometimes does not happen as quickly as it should, according to Senator Aurelio Guevara. The amendatory act will hold the Senate Pro Tempore responsible with carrying this out for each resolution.

Freshman Delegate Colleen McMahon was unanimously appointed as an All-Campus Senator, a seat left open after Senator Tyler Stanton resigned last week.

McMahon will serve as an uncertified Senator next semester, but said she wants to use the last few weeks of the semester to gain early experience as a Senator.
