Three-car accident resulted in fatality Saturday night

A fatality accident involving three cars occurred last night on Northbound State Route 195 milepost 27.

The accident, which occurred at 8:51 p.m. April 4, involved 13 people with one fatality and three injuries.

Dina Williamson, 28, died on the scene after her car crossed the center lane and was hit by an oncoming 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. An oncoming 2003 International passenger van hit the Suburban shortly after.

The 17-year-old male driver and the seven teenaged passengers in the van were not injured. The driver of the Suburban, Lana Fonnesbeck, 45, was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment. The two passengers in her car, children aged 14 and 13, were taken to Pullman Memorial Hospital. The cause of the collisions is under further investigation.

The Pullman Police Department suggests using Highway 27 to Palouse as an alternate route.
