“Ticket to Ride” comes back to Pullman

From Staff Reports

Warren Miller’s “Ticket to Ride” will be featured in the CUB Auditorium tonight and tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Tickets to the event are $5 for students who present their Cougar Cards and $10 for the general public.

The event promises more than just a film for ski enthusiasts, said Taylor Wright, Student Entertainment Board film coordinator.

“Prizes provided by the ORC will be given to those who attend either showing,” she said. “Early attendees will be given free ski magazines provided by Warren Miller.”

Ski tune services, day passes to Silver Mountain, a DVD copy of last year’s film presentation “Flow State,” ski gear rentals and snow shoe rentals are among the many prizes SEB plans to award.

Wright encourages adrenaline junkies and film buffs alike to come to the CUB and enjoy the movie.

“The film is visually stunning,” she said. “Warren Miller’s films are known for going to the most sought after ski destinations most have not traveled to and filming amazing tricks.”

SEB encourages people to flock in both nights. However, if audience members want to guarantee a seat, arrive Wednesday night.

“Obviously we want a full house both nights,” Wright said. “But we’ve heard a lot of people say they’re going to Thursday’s showing.”
