late night meal, ding: Best place to get a late night meal

From staff reports

This time last year, WSU students who wanted their Taco Bell fix had to make the trek to Moscow.

“Everybody (in Pullman) wanted Taco Bell really, really bad,” shift manager David Hilts said. “Enough to be writing corporate and making a Facebook page.”

Indeed, the “Bring Taco Bell to Pullman” Facebook page had more than 1,000 likes. The internet campaign also included a Change.org petition.

With such a strong following, Hilts said business has been great since the branch opened late last July.

“The first few weeks we made some company records,” he said.

Cougar Country, which has served WSU students and the Pullman community for more than four decades, took second place.

Flix represented on-campus dining, coming in at third. Customers can visit until 1 a.m. and can even have pizza, pasta and chicken wings delivered to their residence halls.
