WSU to require proof of vaccination, negative COVID-19 test for gatherings

Requirements start Nov. 15; WSU to implement new policies for recreation activities

WSU announced Tuesday that all on-campus gatherings will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result 72 hours before the event. 

These requirements will be enforced starting Nov. 15 for people 12 and over, according to WSU Insider

The new requirements will be necessary for events with over 1,000 people for indoor events and over 10,000 people for outdoor events, according to the article. 

WSU also updated its policies for recreation activities, according to the article. 

For people attending a University Recreation trip, proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be required as well, according to the article. People who are not vaccinated must find a place to spend the night on their own.
