Man injured in weekend assault

A man received multiple kicks and punches from an unknown attacker early Saturday morning on Northeast B Street, according to the Pullman Police Department.

Pullman Sgt. Dan Hargraves said the man sustained minor injuries.

“It looks like his eye is swollen,” Hargraves said while reviewing a photo of the victim. “I can’t tell if his nose is broken or not.”

An ambulance arrived, but did not transport the man to the hospital. Hargraves said the man was advised to consult a medical doctor.

A friend of the victim alerted police at 2:30 a.m. about 10 minutes after the incident occurred, Hargaves said. By that time the attacker had fled.

Police have not identified a suspect.
