Snake found in WSU apartment

IAN SMAY, Evergreen reporter

Two WSU students had a rude welcoming when they came home to a snake in their apartment.

The students called WSU police when they opened the door to their Chinook Village apartment and discovered a snake had entered while they were gone. The snake was approximately three to four feet long, WSU Police Assistant Chief Steven Hansen said.

Police removed the snake from the premises after the report, Hansen said. They were unable to identify and confirm the species of the snake, although it was reported to be large. There were no injuries caused by the snake or its removal.
