Women’s golf to travel to Oregon

After the outstanding performance by senior Mallory Kent and the team, the Cougs hope to continue their great start as they play at the Rose City Collegiate on Monday September 30th.

The WSU Women’s Golf team will travel to Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Oregon for its second tournament of the year, playing at par 72.

Joining Washington State will be host Portland State University, Oregon State, Boise State, Eastern Washington, Northern Colorado, Cal State Fullerton, Weber State, Sacramento State, Montana, UC Irvine, San Francisco, Cal Poly, Gonzaga and Seattle.

Competing in the Cup will be senior Mallory Kent, juniors Lindsay Harmon and Kristen Rue, freshman Cherokee Kim, and sophomores Rachel Lewis and Nani Yanagi.

Coach Kelli Kamimura, has high aspirations for a team who she has seen grow stronger week after week and excited for what the team has in store.

“They have developed their mindset, they are committed to leaving it all out there unconditionally,  and they are ready to come out and showcase it,” said Coach Kamimura.
