As the spring 2023 semester reaches the halfway point, there are several upcoming key dates and events that graduating students must keep their eye out for.  

March 3 – Application to apply for degree deadline 

March 21–22 Grad Fair in The Bookie, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Mandatory Tasks: 

  • Degree application 
  • RSVP to walk 

Recommended Tasks: 

  • Order academic regalia 
  • Update records
  • Complete undergraduate survey
  • Review student accounts and loans
  • International students: contact the Office of International Programs
  • Purchase announcements, commemorative merchandise and portraits 
  • Invite family and friends
  • Join the Alumni Association

March 27–31 – Showcase Week 

Showcase week honors the scholarly achievements of faculty, staff and students. It packs 5 days with poster sessions, competitions, and speeches, capped off by an elegant banquet and awards ceremony, according to WSU commencement.

  • Crimson Reads, the celebration of authors in the WSU community 
  • State of the University Address, President Kirk Schulz highlights accomplishments from the past academic year
  • Emeritus Society Legacy of Excellence lecture, address from an outstanding emeritus honored for achievements while in retirement

April 3 – Deadline to RSVP to walk at commencement 

April 15 – Final day to order regalia online 

May 5 – Hooding Practice 

  • All Doctoral candidates (PhD, EDD, and DNP) are encouraged to attend

May 6 Graduation Ceremony
