Film series plays foreign movies

The Kenworthy Performing Arts Center hosts foreign films every third Tuesday of the month as part of is International Film Series.

This month at the Kenworthy, the German comedy-drama “Toni Erdmann” will be playing. The film is in German, English and Romanian with English subtitles, according to the Kenworthy website.

“Toni Erdmann” centers on corporate strategist Ines and her estranged father Winfried. Known for his pranks and eccentric disguises, he attempts to rekindle his relationship with her by posing as her CEO’s life coach, Toni Erdmann.

As part of the Kenworthy’s goals, they strive to feature films normally unavailable in the area, according to their website. They also aim to provide events for all patrons and discourage all types of discrimination, according to their website.

“Toni Erdmann” will play at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center. Each seat costs $5.
