Readers react to an article about a University of Southern California football player allegedly shoving a WSU fan to the ground as fans rushed the field following WSU’s win on Friday. The incident was caught on video. WSU police have reached out to USC and the player, Liam Jimmons, who has been disciplined, according to the USC head coach.

Katie McDaniel: “I’m sorry, but the kid wouldn’t have gotten bumped if he wasn’t on the field in the first place. WSU’s athletics department can’t afford a $25,000 fine. And after hearing what students think is OK to say to an opposing team’s members, I’d be more than a little defensive if a swarm of them came towards me, too.”
