Katie McDaniel: “I’m sorry, but the kid wouldn’t have gotten bumped if he wasn’t on the field in the first place. WSU’s athletics department can’t afford a $25,000 fine. And after hearing what students think is OK to say to an opposing team’s members, I’d be more than a little defensive if a swarm of them came towards me, too.”

Avery Palchikoff: “Just let it go, he barely got a knock. These are the kind of things that will make rushing the field no longer exist.”

Noranne Olson: “Ah … yeah! That was not an accidental bump!”

Ja Quizz: “There are two flags on the play. Too many non-athletic personnel on the field, home team. Unnecessary roughness, visiting team. By rule, those penalties will offset.”

Marilyn Washabaugh: “So what if the fans were on the field? The player should not have shoved a fan.”
