BookPeople of Moscow will host author Alice Finch to kick off LEGO Big Build at Eureka! Palouse Tinkering and Tutoring Center on Saturday.

Seattle-based LEGO artist and author Alice Finch will be signing “LEGO Awesome Ideas” and “365 Things to Do with LEGO Bricks,” as a contributing author of these books, at the BookPeople of Moscow, according to a news release.

The center partners with the University of Idaho College of Art and Architecture to build a large-scale model of downtown Moscow, according to the center’s website.

Finch began building large scale models with her older son and her first model was a 400,000 brick replica of Hogwarts Castle. Her work has been featured on The Huffington Post and The Seattle Times, according to BookPeople’s website.

The book signing begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at BookPeople of Moscow. Books will be available for purchase at the store. To register for the Eureka! Palouse Big Build, participants can go to the Eureka! Palouse website. Children must be 6 – 18 years old to be eligible.
