Trailing the coattails of Alex Carpenter and Corrine Schroeder, Jessie Eldridge is leaving the New York Sirens for the Emerald City. The former Colgate University team captain racked up 24 points last season in the PWHL, an improvement of 10 points from the season before, where she only recorded 14.
She has a slew of pro-hockey experience prior to the PWHL’s existence. She won gold for Canada in the 2022 IIHF Women’s World Championship, played numerous seasons in the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association, was a two-time Colgate Athletics Athlete of the Year and was a three-time ECAC Hockey player of the month.
The 27-year-old Canadian is far from being a young talent, but her production level makes her a key piece in Seattle’s team build.
Next on the schedule for PWHL fans is the 2025 draft. In the draft, Seattle will look to flesh out their lineup and add young rookies who will be the faces of the franchise for the coming years. The draft will be at 7:00 pm on June 24.
