Joining the ranks of rookies on the team is Julia Gosling. She ranked seventh last season for points among rookies and tied for fifth in assists and goals. In the 2025 playoffs with the Toronto Sceptres she tallied three goals and a 52.4% Won-Faceoff Percentage. In 2024, Gosling was named to the Canadian World Championship team and helped them win gold with two goals in seven games.
In her junior year of college at St. Lawrence University, she was made team captain and led the squad with 46 points and 369 face-off wins. She cooled off her senior year, ranking second on the squad for points and placing nationally in the top 15 for numerous stats, including fourth for power-play goals.
Her high ceiling, face-off-winning potential and leadership experience make her useful for this Seattle squad.
Next on the schedule for PWHL fans is the 2025 draft. In the draft, Seattle will look to flesh out their lineup and add young rookies who will be the faces of the franchise for the coming years. The draft will be at 7:00 pm on June 24.
