Resident arrested for rape

FROM STAFF REPORTS

A Pullman resident was arrested for rape after an alleged forcible sex offense against a female student.

Ruddy Aladina, 24, was arrested Sunday after allegedly raping a 21-year-old WSU student on Friday night.

Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said both parties were at Stubblefields on Friday night. Aladina allegedly invited the victim to his apartment, where he forced her into sexual intercourse.

The victim left the apartment immediately afterward, and reported the incident to Pullman Regional Hospital. Tennant said she had received minor bruising that was consistent with a forcible rape.

Aladina was charged with felony second degree rape, and remains in Whitman County Jail.

Tennant said police are continuing to speak with the victim as their investigation continues.

“We’re doing a follow up interview with her today, and the case should be mostly wrapped up and we will send it to the prosecutor for charging,” he said.
