A WSU student and research assistant in the Voiland School of Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering allegedly assaulted a woman at a bar Tuesday night.

Pullman Police arrested Ahmed Yousef Ali Ben-Sahil after allegedly grabbing a woman’s crotch at Stubblefield’s Bar Tuesday night. The woman then hit him before Ben-Sahil hit the woman in the back of the head, Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said.

Ben-Sahil was released on his own recognizance after being cited at the Pullman Police Department, Tennant said. Ben-Sahil was charged with assault in the fourth degree.

Tennant said it was a busy night in comparison to other Tuesdays, but it was much like an average weekend night, and there wasn’t more activity than a normal Halloween night.
