“LUV” is an art show featuring local artists. It is hosted by Stray Gallery, a nomadic art series.

“This is a group exhibit of local artists, mainly from Pullman, Moscow, and a few from Spokane,” said Taylor Sanders, the organizer of the series.

The art will focus on love and expression, with an emphasis on LGBTQ perspectives. Artwork will include 2-D and 3-D pieces and poetry.

“The theme is ‘open,’ ” Sanders said. “In the Palouse, there are a lot of contemporary artists, so the intention of this show is to sort of open that up.”

Sanders said that the people involved with the Stray Gallery hope to use “LUV” to “make a safe, inclusive and readily available space.”

“There isn’t a lot of that on the Palouse,” she said.

“LUV” will be on display at 7 p.m. Friday at 225 NE High St. The event is free and open to the public.
