Cougars hire defensive coach

WSU has hired Utah State University co-defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach Kendrick Shaver, according to ustateaggies.com.

WSU Associate Director of Athletics Bill Stevens was unable to confirm the report.

Shaver has been a coach with Utah State for the past seven seasons and was the co-defensive coordinator and outside linebackers coach for the last two years.

During his seven years with the team, the Aggies participated in a school-record six-straight bowl games, according to Cougfan.
