WinterFest cancelled due to weather conditions

Palouse Land Trust, amongst other hosts, decided Thursday afternoon to cancel WinterFest. The winter celebration was supposed to take place Sunday afternoon from 1-3 p.m.

According to their Facebook page, Palouse Land Trust cancelled due to low ticket sales, partial flooding of Berman Creekside Park and possibly rainy conditions this Sunday. Instead, Palouse Land Trust plans on holding WinterFest sometime this November or December.

Palouse Land Trust’s next event will be Co-op Kids: Little Birders on Feb. 6 from 9-10 a.m.

According to Palouse Land Trust’s website, this event will feature birdmaking crafts. Children will have the opportunity to make peanut butter pine cone bird feeders, heart-shaped bird treats and paper plate bird nests.

Co-op Kids is part of the Moscow Food Co-op’s Outreach program, which is meant to build more solidarity for children in the community.
