‘Neither Rhyme nor Reason’ cancelled due to illness
September 26, 2014
“Neither Rhyme nor Reason: Songs of Love and Loss,” a guest performance by Ross Hauck, a professional tenor from Seattle, has been delayed due to illness.
Hauck was originally scheduled to give a free performance to students and community members Friday night in Kimbrough Hall and was also scheduled to mentor vocal students in a master class session Saturday.
“Neither Rhyme nor Reason” would have included compositions from classical artists like Handel, Faure and Guastavino, but was centered on Schumann’s 16-part song-cycle “Dichterliebe.”
Hauck said the concert has been postponed until Jan. 30, when he will return to campus in a bubble, ready for any sickness we have to throw at him.
