College Cabs against drinking, driving

From staff reports

Today fromĀ 9 p.m. until 3 a.m., College Cabs will provide free rides to help people recognize cabs as an alternative to drinking and driving.

The promotion comes along with several other moves to take a stand against drinking and driving following an incident with one of their drivers last week.

An off-duty College Cabs driver was intoxicated at the wheel last Thursday, using one of the companyā€™s vehicles without permission. After bumping a car in front of him in the Dairy Queen drive-thru, he was arrested by Pullman Police for DUI, and College Cabs terminated his employment.

Additionally, the cab service will donate $500 to Mothers against Drunk Driving, help sponsor ASWSUā€™s Donā€™t Drink and Drive campaign in October, and apply informative decals to their cars.
