Car stolen from south-campus parking lot

From staff reports

PULLMAN – A car was stolen sometime over the weekend from a parking lot near the south of the WSU campus.

The 1996 silver and red Acura Integra was last seen on Saturday in the blue-permit parking lot next to Chinook apartments. The owner of the vehicle discovered the theft and reported it to the WSU Police Department on Monday.

Officer Jeff Olmstead said there was glass on the ground where the car had been parked.

“We’re assuming that it was a forced entry,” Olmstead said. “We are still actively searching for the vehicle.”

The car had a Washington license plate, number 485-XGW. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact the WSU Police Department at 509-335-8548.

Olmstead said car thefts aren’t common in the area.
