Sept. 11 ceremony to commemorate victims

PULLMAN – A ceremony hosted on Thursday by the Pullman police and fire departments will commemorate those lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. in the courtyard of Pullman City Hall and is open to the public.

Pullman Mayor Glenn Johnson, Police Chief Gary Jenkins and Fire Chief Mike Heston will speak briefly. The combined Fire and Police Honor Guard will conduct a flag lowering ceremony accompanied by the Border Highlanders Pipes and Drums.

The courtyard is located between City Hall and the police station in downtown Pullman.
