Shots fired on College Hill; no investigation

From staff reports

Residents and party-goers heard gunshots early Sunday morning at the Boulder Creek Apartments on College Hill.

Pullman Police Sgt. Dan Dornes said officers responded to a fight at the apartment complex, which disbursed before they arrived. Residents said they heard gunshots, and police recovered a 32-caliber bullet casing from the parking lot.

“There were a few shots,” said a WSU student who was at the party. “I was outside when it happened, and I got out of there.”

The student, who asked not to be named, said he did not see who fired.

Dornes said no one was injured and Pullman police will not investigate further.

“If there was a victim or a suspect, that would be a different story,” Dornes said. “We don’t have a whole lot more information.”
