The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office arrested two 59-year-olds, one man and one woman, for possession of methamphetamines in Albion early Sunday morning.

While working on a separate case in Albion on Saturday, deputies received information that two individuals possessed meth in their home, Whitman County Sheriff Brett Myers said. After determining the information was reliable, they quickly obtained a warrant to search the home.

Deputies then served the warrant early Sunday morning with the support of officers from the Pullman Police Department, Myers said. Based on information obtained while serving the warrant, the deputies arrested the two for possession of methamphetamines.

The individuals had been mentioned in relation to narcotics in the past, Myers said, but they did not show signs of trafficking or distribution.
