Evergreen staff wins multiple regional awards

The Daily Evergreen won three Society of Professional Journalists Region 10 Mark of Excellence awards, including Best All-Around Daily Student Newspaper, and placed as finalists in three categories.
Evergreen cartoonist Nick Sandifer won the award for editorial cartoons for the second year in a row, and Evergreen reporters Forrest Holt, Cody Cottier and Jessica Zhou share the award for general news reporting.
Staff members at the Evergreen placed as finalists in feature writing, editorial writing and sports photography.
SPJ Region 10 includes Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington.
