Three arrested for drugs in Colfax store parking lot

From staff reports

COLFAX – Three people were arrested Tuesday morning after detectives saw them with heroin paraphernalia in the parking lot of a downtown grocery store.

Upon making contact, the detectives from the Quad Cities Drug Task Force found each suspect was already wanted on at least one out-of-county misdemeanor warrant. One suspect – Aaron Parker, 27, of Puyallup – also had a felony warrant for a narcotics-related offense out of Pierce County.

Parker and Victoria Knezevich, 23, also of Puyallup; and Cory Burt, 25, of Bremerton were taken into custody and booked into the Whitman County Jail.

During a search of the suspects’ vehicle, the detectives found $1,000 in cash and paraphernalia that included a methamphetamine pipe, a scale and a small amount of packaged heroin.

Additional charges are to be forwarded to the Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office.
