Bernardo chooses finalists for director position

Provost Dan Bernardo announced Robin Held and Paul Baker Prindle yesterday as the two finalists in the search for a director of the WSU Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.

According to the WSU press release, nominees were chosen and interviewed following a search process, led by Bernardo and a university search and advisory committee, weighing candidates across the nation.

On the mornings of April 30 and May 1, Held and Baker Prindle, respectively, will meet with a variety of WSU faculty, staff, students and administrators to deliver presentations outlining their individual visions for the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.

The presentation will be held each day from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the CUB Junior Ballroom.

Held is a creative strategist and consultant, according to the resume on her website. She was previously the deputy director of exhibitions and collections for the Frye Art Museum in Seattle and associate curator at the Henry Art Gallery at the University of Washington.

Baker Prindle is the director of University Galleries in Nevada and was previously the director of the Edgewood College Gallery in Madison, Wisconsin. According to his website, his work has been featured in cities across the U.S. and published both in print and online journals.
