Officials have identified the body of a fallen hiker at Palouse Falls as a recent WSU graduate.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 26-year-old Noble Stoneman, according to The Spokesman-Review. Stoneman graduated during the May 5 commencement ceremony.

Stoneman fell into the water at the base of the falls on Thursday and failed to resurface.

Correction: This article has been updated to reflect that Stoneman fell Thursday, not Friday.
