Man arrested wearing boxers, heart monitor after fro-yo shop theft

From staff reports

Wearing nothing but his boxers and a heart monitor from Pullman Regional Hospital, a man was arrested Sunday after he attempted to steal from the tip jar at Sweet Mutiny.

Police apprehended David D. Jennings, 28, of Pullman outside the frozen yogurt shop around 9:30 p.m.

Two hours earlier, Jennings was taken to the hospital after police, firefighters and paramedics responded to a call about him undergoing a seizure. The police report did not indicate what caused the seizure.

“Needless to say, he was not very hard to identify,” said Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant, who aided in the arrest.

Jennings reportedly kicked but did not harm a police officer during his arrest. He was booked into the Whitman County Jail on charges of third-degree assault and third-degree theft, both of which are misdemeanors.
