PULLMAN—A Pullman man was arrested this weekend for the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Deputies from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office arrested Abdullatif Arishi, 40, on Sunday evening following allegations he had a sexual relationship with the victim earlier in the year.

The victim said she originally met Arishi on the internet chat site “Badoo.” The victim also reported to authorities she felt pressured by Arishi, who told her he came from a wealthy family and wanted her to be his wife.

Arishi was booked into the Whitman County Jail on charges of third-degree rape of a child, third-degree child molestation, and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.
