The ASWSU Senate deliberates a resolution to improve WSU’s Internet during a meeting in CUB 204, Wednesday, April 9.

From staff reports

WSU’s internet services need improvement, ASWSU agreed last night.

Devon Seymour, ASWSU director of academic affairs, gave a presentation to the senate about the status of internet service around campus.

About 70 percent of the buildings on campus have outdated network wiring, Seymour said.

“You don’t realize how behind we are,” said Sen. Dylan Heyne. “It’s the next step we need to be technologically ahead.”

The senate also voted on a new bylaw section to fill in a void for governance of election ties.

Sen. Jake Montano said last month there was a tie case between Honors Delegates during ASWSU elections.

This new bylaw adds an interview process for the senate to commence with candidates to resolve ties.
