Men’s golf takes 10th

It wasn’t a full-fledged comeback, but the Washington State men’s golf team did find a way to improve its positioning at the Bandon Dunes Championship.  

After an unfavorable second round, the Cougars finished tied with Gonzaga for 10th place. WSU ended the third day of competition with a score of 299 and total score of 903.

Junior Charlie Mroz was the top scorer for the Cougs finishing in 41st place with a score of 75 in the final round and +12(225) overall.

One stroke behind was senior Jarrett Foote who finished in a three-way tie for 42nd place with a score of +13 (226).

Redshirt junior Alex Wagner finished in 57th place with a total score of +16 (229).

One stroke behind Wagner were junior Michael Anderson and senior Blake Snyder who finished in a six-way tie at 59th with a score of +17 (230).

Missouri completed tournament play in first place carding a score of 298 in the final round and finishing with an 863 overall.

Sophomore Jonathan Sanders of Washington continued his great performance in the tournament finishing in first place with a final score of -3 (210).

Washington State will continue spring play on Friday, March 21st at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Arizona State in Tempe, Ariz.
