Electronic dance music pulses through CUB

From Staff Reports

The Student Entertainment Board is hosting an electronic dance music themed Up All Night tomorrow night from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Body piercing opportunities, free food and a night of dancing will be offered to the student body.

The EDM theme is a positive change, Up All Night director Michael Ehde said.

“We want to try something new, something students can relate to,” he said.

All Up All Nights are fun events provided for students that are also substance-free, Ehde said. SEB keeps entertainment options diverse to appeal to a large demographic, and because of this, each event attracts between 500 and 1500 students from across campus, Ehde said.

Among the entertainment options, this Up All Night offers discounted body piercings from Bullet Proof Piercing. Students must show their ID and pay in cash.

Cable TV’s BET featured comedian Arvin Mitchell and America’s Got Talent competitive juggler Nick Pike will be performing before the DJ Dance that will close the night. Free Panda Express will also be provided.

During the DJ Dance, DJ group Light It Up will teach a 90-minute class on DJ techniques and will perform their own mixes after. The top three beginner DJs from the class will be chosen by Light It Up to perform with them on stage.
