Camera smasher doesn’t play well with others

From staff reports

A Pullman woman was arrested yesterday after she allegedly trespassed on her neighbors’ property and smashed a surveillance camera they installed to keep an eye on her.

Tara L. Line, 27, was arrested for second-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree malicious mischief at about 1 a.m. after her neighbors reported the incident to police.

The incident took place on the 200 block of Northwest Clay Street.

Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said the woman had a history of noise complaints for which she was cited on multiple occasions. He said the neighbors installed the surveillance camera in response.

“She doesn’t work and play well with her neighbors,” Tennant said.

He said the camera produced indisputable evidence.

“She promptly came over and smashed the camera,” Tennant said. “And, of course, it was still rolling.”
