Police responded to a head-on collision Monday night in the parking lot of the Summerhill apartments on Northeast Merman Drive.

The incident occurred at about 10:45 p.m. when a 2008 Toyota Yaris was traveling too fast and hit a 2005 Chevy Colorado traveling in the opposite direction.

Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said the collision caused an airbag in the Colorado to be deployed, injuring the driver’s finger.

The driver of the Yaris was issued an infraction for negligent driving.
