Stubborn bar patron calms down under restraint

From staff reports

A man was charged with criminal trespassing and malicious mischief Sunday night after drunkenly refusing to leave a bar on College Hill, breaking a camera, and spending several hours restrained in a chair, Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said.

John C. Nixon, 22, was arrested for first-degree criminal trespassing after he was removed from The Coug and snuck back inside, Tennant said.

Nixon was intoxicated and refused to leave the bar after his re-entry, Tennant said.

Nixon was then placed in a holding cell, where he broke a camera, Tennant said. As a result he was charged with second-degree malicious mischief and placed in a restraint chair.

Tennant said Nixon calmed down after a few hours.
