Moos moves Apple Cup

The Cougars and the Huskies are now scheduled to play their annual rivalry football game on Saturday in 2014, Director of Athletics Bill Moos announced Monday.

The Seattle Times reports that this moves the Apple Cup out of the Black Friday slot it had for the last two years.

Game times will not be released until agreements with television stations are finalized. Complete schedules for the Pac-12 Conference became available on Monday.

Many students missed the 2012 Apple Cup in Pullman because they were off campus for Thanksgiving break. The same problem occurred in 2013 when the teams played in Seattle in Husky Stadium. This year, students and other fans have an extra day to make the trip to Martin Stadium to see the game on Nov. 29.
