Readers react to an article about the changes made to Alive! sessions, including making the first day optional for most students and changing the format of workshops to be similar to TED Talks. There will be fewer orientation counselors due to the minimum wage increase.

Daniel Stuart Hoffman: “They got the message but I’m not sure their changes are appropriate. Yes it’s a ton of info in a short period of time, but it’s all important info. I think a more appropriate action would have been to extend each session rather than cut down on the info.”
Michelle Richards: “I did the Alive! Program the summer of 2000. It was definitely worth it- it gave me the chance to experience college life. Plus, my Coug dad came with me, and it was so special for us to share the experience.”
