A WSU student has been charged with one gross misdemeanor and a Class C felony after stealing nude pictures from a female student’s phone September 2016.

Matthew Parsons, 21, allegedly texted himself nude images of a 19-year-old female student after he got a hold of her phone, WSU Police Assistant Chief Steve Hansen said.

The victim looked at her phone and realized the images had been texted in an unknown number, Hansen said.

Parsons was charged with disclosing intimate images and electronic data theft. Parsons is still in possession of his phone, Hansen said.
