Welcome to People of the Palouse

EMMA LEDBETTER, Evergreen news editor

Dear Mint reader,

Mint reporters are charged with finding hidden gems in our local community. Through an arts and culture lens, we focus on ideas, events and people surrounding Pullman and the WSU campus.

This week in Mint, we are featuring a special edition called “People of the Palouse.” People of the Palouse is a return to the roots of our section.

This is an edition that focuses on the culture here in the Palouse region, told through the stories of a few individuals.

Each person this week was nominated because they have a story to tell — a uniqueness about them that speaks to them as a person and this area as their home.

Mint reporters have done their best to showcase each story accurately and in a way that exhibits not only the individual but their connection to Pullman and the Palouse region. All the profiles here are meant to help you see your neighbors and our little corner of the world in a new light.

We look forward to more weeks of showing you everything the Palouse has to offer. We hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as we enjoyed writing them.
