CCS to offer courses at WSU Pullman campus

From staff reports

The Pullman branch of Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) will begin teaching classes on the WSU campus starting April 3.

For the past 16 years, CCS has offered community college courses to more than 200 students out of the Gladish Community Center in downtown Pullman.

Eighty percent of students in the Pullman CCS two-year transfer degree program plan to attend or have attended WSU, according to a WSU news release.

CCS will teach classes out of the Math Annex and Kruegel Hall, both located on the southwestern end of campus. CCS students will also receive Cougar Cards, giving them access to WSU libraries, the Student Recreation Center and other Pullman campus amenities.

WSU will give the CCS students access to WSU transfer advising. Classes offered at WSU through CCS are intended to align with WSU degree requirements.

This partnership hopes to give community college students the opportunity to experience university life and enhance transfer opportunities, according to the news release.
