Oh, God why, why?

I can’t stand it. Its cheeziness level is over 9,000.

Make it stop.

No, I mean, seriously, just stop.

Men In Black is one of those movie franchises that milked their series dry. The whole point of MIB International was to revitalize the MIB movies with a new director, F. Gary Gray, and new faces with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bagging on the god of thunder or the Valkyrie. As a matter of fact, their chemistry was the saving grace of the whole film. But not even the top tier acting of these two immortals could beat the shoddily constructed plot.

There’s so much potential and lore within the franchise that they could’ve done anything with it, but they stuck with the same dry concepts that we had to deal with in the last two MIB movies.

The first Men In Black was an instantaneous cult classic, but the franchise just could not keep up with the success of the first movie.

MIB International follows Tessa Thompson as Agent M, a woman looking to join the MIB ever since her parents were neutralized by two MIB agents when she was a child.

She finds MIB headquarters and joins up with Agent H, played by Chris Hemsworth, and must save the day from two generic super-bad aliens.

I mean the aliens don’t even speak for most of the movie, they’re just more Borises.

I’ll be honest, it’s an OK movie, but you should really only see it if you’re a diehard MIB fan or just looking to see another movie with a shirtless Chris Hemsworth.

Men In Black International is brought to you by the SEB in the CUB auditorium from 6 p.m. and 9 p.m September 13 through 15.

But for real, just watch Youtube instead.
