After a 13th place finish at the Husky Invitational, the WSU men’s golf team heads to West Virginia looking to improve after nearly three weeks without a tournament.
West Virginia University will host The Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the par-72, 7,308-yard Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, West Virginia.
Head Coach Dustin White said in an email that WSU will face some new teams, which will be a good challenge for the team.
“We’re looking forward to putting into action what we learned from our first event and continuing to improve as we go,” White said in an email.
The tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. EST on Monday after West Virginia’s Mountaineer shoots his musket. Teams expect to play 36 holes on the first day. Golfers will resume in tee times starting at 8 a.m. EST on Tuesday.
