A WSU student was hospitalized after he was hit by a car on Nov. 24 in Southern California while visiting his family during Thanksgiving break.

Kyle Osborne, 19, sustained several injuries from the accident including brain hemorrhages, internal bleeding and external bleeding, according to a GoFundMe account.

Owen Leenstra created the GoFundMe account “Prayers for Kyle” on Tuesday on behalf of Kyle Osborne and his family.

Osborne went into a coma after being put under anesthesia for emergency brain surgery due to swelling in his brain, according to the GoFundMe. A part of Osborne’s skull was removed during the two major surgeries he went through.

Osborne has had two strokes since his hospitalization, according to the GoFundMe page.

“Please pray for his full recovery as he is in God’s hands now,” the GoFundMe reads. “Doctors say we need a miracle for him to pull through.”
