Reader reactions: ‘Leach’s support for Trump remains strong’

Readers react to comments from WSU football Head Coach Mike Leach stating that he continues to support Republican Party nominee Donald Trump despite lewd comments he made in a 2005 video. At a press conference on Monday, Leach also stated that he has a picture of Trump hanging in his office and has had no issues with recruiting potential student athletes since his previous endorsement of Trump at a Spokane rally on May 7. Leach has landed nine three-star recruits for the class of 2017 so far this season.

Mario J. Vega: “I don’t understand why there’s a need to interrogate our football coach of all people to disavow a personal friend of his because of a 10 year old tape of him joking around in a personal conversation.”
