One COVID-19 case reclassified; total decreases to 33

Patient tested negative twice after false positive

A woman aged 60-79 years who previously tested positive for COVID-19 has been removed from Whitman County’s confirmed case count, bringing the total down to 33. 

After her initial positive test, the woman tested negative twice, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Because of this, her case has been reclassified as negative and removed from the positive case total. 

Of Whitman County’s 33 confirmed cases, 23 individuals have recovered and 10 are isolating at home, according to the press release. 

At least 1,701 individuals have tested negative for the virus, according to the Whitman County Health Department website
